Mounting t he M onitor on Manhole
Rung
The simplest way to mount a monitor in a manhole is to attach it to
a rung. TRITON+ monitors come with a standard hook (ADS p /n
8000-0021) for this purpose.
 Make s ure the rungs are capable of holding the weight of the
monitor and cables. The monitor weighs 30.3 pounds (13.7 kg)
with added weight coming from the cables.
 The hook must be closed to prevent accidental dislodging from
its sup port rung. T he hook has two piec es, a curved portion
that goes over the rung a nd a str a ight po rtion which closes the
hook underne ath the rung. The hook must be closed and the
clamping bolt/ nut tight enough to ensure that the straight
closure remains in position.
