Editing the Modem Setup Device
Each carrier requires you to configure the monitor modem with the
appropriate APN (Access Point Name) information corresponding
to the carrier’s SIM card to ensure access to the pr o vider’s networ k.
The roaming SIM cards provided by these carriers enable the
monitor to perform wireless communication through multiple carrier
networks in the vicinity of the monitor location. T he Mo dem Setup
device allows you to designate the associated APN info r mation,
identify the providers that support the SIM card and offer service in
the area, and p rioritize the order in which you want the monitor to
attempt to communicate through each provider’s network. Priority
should reflect the availability, strength, reliability, and consistency
of the carrier’s signal to ensure communicat i on.
