TheHost/RemoteSwitchallowstheusertoswitchthedefaultRepeaterIP,SubnetMask,andGatewayofthe
repeatertoan alternativesetup.These settingscan beadjustedbylogginginto theADX DASinHOSTmodeand
configuringthesettings
undertheModemBoxSettingsectionundertheInstallPageofNMS.
Oncethesettingsare set,flippingtheswitch totheREMOTE position will reboot NMS module withthe new
alternatesettings.PleasenotethatwhentheNMS issetto theREMOTE position, DHCP isdisabled and theNMS
willnotautomaticallyassignanIPaddresstoanydevicethatconnectsdirectlytotheNMS.

HEviewmode,theNMSmonitorsthestatusofallsubordinateunitsconnected toNMSbutwhenswitchedtoRU
view the NMS does not monitor the subordinate units.RU View mode will allow the user to go to a RU and
monitor/control the HE.If the
NMSisset totheHE Viewmodeand triestoconnecttoaRUtomonitortheHE,
data collisions between the NMS and RU may prevent the user from properly monitoring or configuring the HE
whenattheRU.
