About comments and processing instructions
You can add comments and processing instructions to your XML content using InCopy. Comments, viewed in a Web
browser or text editor, provide additional information about the content in your XML file. Processing instructions
trigger specific actions when the XML file is opened in an application that understands them. InCopy preserves
comments and processing instructions, but does not act on them when you open an XML file.
You can view comments and processing instructions in the Structure pane, Galley view, or Story view, or hide them
to see just the elements corresponding to tagged content in your document. Comments, attributes, and processing
instructions are not visible in Layout view.
Comments and processing instructions can be moved, deleted, or edited just like other elements in the Structure
pane. They cannot, however, contain child elements.
