ADOBE INCOPY CS2
User Guide
• When you tag text within a tagged element (such as a paragraph within a tagged story), it appears as a child of the
existing element in the Structure pane.
• When you tag an element within a frame, InCopy automatically tags the frame using the tag specified in the
Tagging Preset Options dialog box.
To show or hide tagged frames or tag markers
You can display tagged frames in color or display colored brackets around tagged text. The tag color determines the
color of the frame or bracket.
In this example, all page items are tagged except for the subhead below the title.
❖ Do one of the following:
• To display tagged frames in color, choose View > Structure > Show Tagged Frames.
• To hide the color-coding of tagged frames, choose View > Structure > Hide Tagged Frames.
• To display color brackets around tagged text, choose View > Structure > Show Tag Markers
• To hide color brackets around tagged text, choose View > Structure > Hide Tag Markers.
To delete tags or elements
You can delete tags in the Tags palette, and you can delete elements in the Structure pane. When you delete a tag that
has been applied to content, you can specify which tag should be applied in its place. You can also select and delete
all unused tags.
When you delete an element in the Structure pane, an alert appears asking if you want to delete the element’s content
in the layout. If the deleted element is a parent element, the child elements are deleted too. If you want to delete an
element without deleting the content, click Untag in the Tags palette to untag the page item.
