Tip: To use the last selection tool used
while using any other tool, hold down
the Command key.
To select an entire object or line:
1
Choose the selection tool or the
group-selection tool.
2 Choose one of the following options:
• If the object is filled, and you are in
Preview view, click within the object.
Note: The Area Select option in the
General Preferences dialog box must be
selected for this option to work. For
more information, see Selecting filled
objects.
• Click the path of the object.
• Click an anchor point of the object.
• Hold down the mouse button, and
drag a dotted rectangle, called a
selection marquee, around part or all
of the object.
