If you set crop marks directly in the
artwork, rather than in the separation,
changing the bleed affects only how
much of your artwork shows beyond
the crop marks; it does not change how
your artwork is cropped. If you set crop
marks using the Color Separation Setup
dialog box, changing the bleed moves
the crop marks farther from or closer to
the image; the crop marks still define
the same size bounding box, however.

To specify bleed:

In the Separation Setup dialog box,
enter an amount in the Bleed text box.
2 Specify another separation option,
or click OK.
