3 If you are using Adobe Photoshop
with Adobe Illustrator, choose the CIE
calibration option, and then choose
from the following options:
• Choose an option from the Ink pop-up
menu that matches the ink set and color
printer you are using. The default option
is designed to produce quality separa-
tions using SWOP (standard web offset
proofing) inks on coated paper. These
inks differ slightly from those used in
Europe, as well as from the pigments
used in color wax transfer printers, such
as the QMS® ColorScript printer.
If your printer is not listed, contact
your printer manufacturer to find out
whether a set of Adobe Illustrator
color patch values for your printer is
available.
• Choose your monitor type from the
Monitor pop-up menu.
