To place an EPS file:
1
Open the Illustrator document into
which you want to place the EPS file.
2 Choose File > Place EPS.
3 Locate and select the file to place,
and click Place.
An outlined box containing two diago-
nal lines appears. This box defines the
artwork’s dimensions. The box is placed
into the center of the active window, in
front of all other artwork in your docu-
ment, and is selected.
If the placed EPS file was saved with a
preview image, you can see it in Preview
view. You can also choose to display a
1-bit preview image in Artwork view.
