About graph designs
You can use custom designs in graph
columns or markers to represent data.
Graph designs can be a simple drawing,
logo, or other symbol representing val-
ues in a graph, such as a bicycle; or they
can be complex objects that contain
patterns, guide objects, and type. You
can also use the designs in the Gallery
folder included with the Adobe Illustra-
tor program.
Graph designs are suitable for a grouped
or stacked column graph, or for replac-
ing markers in a line or scatter graph.
Graph designs are scaled so that the
entire design fits within the column or
marker. Once you use a design in a
graph, you can select and modify the
design.
You can use three types of graph
designs with a column graph:
Scaled graph designs.
Repeating graph designs.
Sliding graph designs, which are
stretched or compressed with the
columns.
