Using smart punctuation
The Smart Punctuation dialog box
searches for keyboard text symbols and
replaces them with publishing text sym-
bols. It can also report the number of
symbols replaced.
To turn on the Smart Punctuation
feature for the document:

Choose File > Preferences > General.
2 Select the Smart Punctuation option,
and then click OK.
To replace standard keyboard
characters with publishing characters:

Choose Type > Smart Punctuation.
2 Choose one or more of the Smart
Punctuation options:
V, W, Y Ligatures. Changes any occur-
rence of the ff, fi, or letter combinations
into ligatures (that is, a text symbol that
combines two or more letters into a
single, special character). To change to
the and ligatures, you must have the
appropriate Adobe Expert font installed
on your system.
