To change the leading value using the
Character palette:
1
Select any type container or type path
using a selection tool, or select a block
of type using the type tool.
2 Choose Type > Character.
3 Enter a value in the Leading text box,
or choose a value from the pop-up
menu.
4 Press the Enter key or Tab key.
To change the leading value from the
Type menu:

Select any type container or type path
using a selection tool, or select a block
of type using the type tool.
2 Choose Type > Leading.
3 Choose one of two options:
• Select a leading value from the
Leading submenu.
• If the desired leading value does not
appear in the Leading submenu, choose
Other to display the Character palette.
Enter a value in the Leading text box,
and press the Enter key or Tab key.
