5 Create any new custom colors,
patterns, and gradients you want, or
import them using the Import Styles
command.
6 Drag the custom colors, gradients, or
patterns to their appropriate swatches.
7 Add the new paint style attributes
to the artwork in the startup file, so
you can see and refer to them later if
necessary.
8 Save any graph designs that you want
available in your documents.
9 Select the options you want as
default settings in the Page Setup and
Document Setup dialog boxes, as well
as the view preferences, the ruler ori-
gins, and the page origins.
10 Save the new file as Adobe Illustrator
Startup, and place it inside the Plug-ins
folder.
