11 Select all of the tile including the
bounding box.
12 Choosing Object > Pattern. Click
New, name the tile as a variation of the
original (for example, use the suffix
.outer). Click OK.
To create an inner corner tile:

Select the outer corner tile, including
its bounding box, or choose Object >
Pattern and paste the pattern tile into
your artwork.
2 Using the reflect tool , reflect the tile
–135°, and copy it. The adjustment
matches how Adobe Illustrator reflects
corner tiles as it applies them to inner
corners.
3 Select the tile and its bounding box,
and define them as a pattern by choos-
ing Object > Pattern. Click New, name
the tile as a variation of the original (for
example, with the suffix .inner), and
click OK.
Use the corner tiles you have created
with the path pattern’s side tile. To apply
the pattern to a path, see Outlining
paths with patterns.
