Compound paths act as grouped
objects. Therefore, if you want to select
part of a compound path, you must use
the direct-selection tool.
Note: If you use complex shapes as
compound paths, or if you use several
compound paths in a file, you may have
problems printing the file. If you experi-
ence printing problems, simplify or elim-
inate the compound paths.
