To rotate a copy of the object instead of
the object itself, hold down the Option
key after you start to drag.
For finer control, drag farther from the
object’s point of origin.
To rotate by specifying an angle:

Select the object you want to rotate.
2 Choose one of two options:
• To set the center point as the point of
origin, double-click the rotate tool.
• To change the point of origin from
which to rotate the object, select the
rotate tool, hold down the Option key,
and click the new point of origin.
