Validating the syntax of source code
The GoLive Syntax Checker lets you make sure that one or more documents, or an entire site, contain valid and error-
free source code. The Syntax Checker can parse your source code to verify that your documents meet standards of
well-formedness, or to verify that your documents are compliant with a particular DTD. Each DTD has different
requirements regarding code syntax and the use of elements. The Syntax Checker can use the DTD assigned to the
document, or another DTD that you want to check against.
After parsing the source code, the Syntax Checker highlights faulty code elements in the editors, and lists the errors
and warnings in the Check Syntax Result window. You can also see the errors next to each element in the Outline
Editor where the error is located in your document.
