Formatting tables with the Table Inspector
Formatting tables
A well-designed table lets you control the layout of content on your web page and present information in a visually
effective way. GoLive lets you precisely format a table by setting table, row, or cell properties in the Table Inspector.
Properties in the Table tab of the Table Inspector affect the entire table, and properties in the Row and Cell tabs affect
only the current selection.
Formatting tables to your own specifications can take some time and effort. You can save and reuse a table on other
pages by dragging it to the Snippets tab of the Library palette.
The properties in the Table tab of the Table Inspector let you set a variety of properties that affect all of the cells in
thetable, and letyou setthe alignmentofthe tablerelativetoits surroundings. You canalsoimporttextintothe table,
add a caption, or convert the table into a layout grid.
Note: In addition to setting options in the Table Inspector, you can customize the appearance of a table by applying a
predefined table style to it.
