Adding a subtitle track
Subtitles are words that appear on the screen. You can use subtitles to enable viewers to
follow dialogue, even when they are hearing-impaired or do not speak the language used
in the audio soundtrack. Or you can use subtitles to emphasize points made in the audio
soundtrack. In this project, you’ll create an English subtitle track to accompany the video.
First, you’ll add the English subtitle track. One way to add subtitles is to type directly onto
the Monitor window.
1 Click the Rose timeline to ensure that it is active.
2 Choose Timeline > Add Subtitle Track.
A new track titled Subtitle 1 appears under the Audio tracks.
