In the Properties palette, notice that the President.wav file is listed in the Audio field, and
the duration of the menu has been changed to the duration of the WAV file.
6 Drag the CFO.wav file and the Marketing.wav file onto the CFO and Marketing menus,
respectively, in the Menu Editor window.
Previewing an audio file
Now that you've linked the audio files to the menus, preview this portion of the project.
1 In the Project window, right-click the President menu, and choose Preview From Here.
The President menu appears as the audio file plays. When the audio file ends, the screen
turns black.
2 Close the Project Preview window.
Obviously, you don’t want the screen to turn black, leaving the viewer with no navigation
options, when the audio file ends. You can address this in several ways:
• Set the menu to loop. If the audio file were music only, this would be a good option.
However, in this project, the voice-over would repeat with each loop and become
annoying.
• Set the menu to loop, and set a loop point after the voice-over is done. However, the
navigation buttons would not be activated until the loop point is reached.
• Set the end action to link to the next slide.
