Creating Motion Menus
6 Choose File > Preview. Press the Play Movie button to verify that the link and end
action are working correctly.
When you press the Play Movie button, the entire movie should play, and then you should
return to the main menu, with the Play Stages button highlighted.
7 Close the Project Preview window, and save the project.
Adding video to the background of a menu
Currently, the project has a still menu. Now you’ll replace the still background layer with
a moving background layer.
1 Make sure the Cardiac_main menu is open in the Menu Editor window.
2 Open the Layers palette.
The Layers palette lists the Background layer and the Background layer set. Click the eye
icon ( ) to hide and reveal the Background layer set and the Background layer.
3 Select the Background layer set in the Layers palette, and then choose Edit > Clear to
delete the layer set.
Yo u can also press the Delete key on your keyboard to delete a layer or layer set. Make
sure you’ve selected the appropriate layer or layer set, as Adobe Encore DVD does not prompt
you to confirm the deletion. If you accidentally delete the wrong layer, choose Edit > Undo
Clear Objects.
4 Select the Project window to make it active, and then choose File > Import as Asset.
Import the Cardiac_background.avi file.
