Edit and master. Powerful editing and mastering tools in Adobe Audition 3 allow you to
ne-tune and polish audio with utmost precision. Zoom into specic areas using Top/Tail
views to quickly edit the beginning or ending of your audio le. Remove or edit specic
sounds or certain frequencies easily with new audio healing and selection tools, or use
Adaptive Noise Reduction to remove unwanted noise that changes over time. Sweeten your
sound with the Mastering eect, and then ensure your audio is in phase with exible phase
correction tools. Make your audio shine with the full set of editing, restoration, and
mastering tools found in Adobe Audition 3.

VSTi virtual instrument support
Enjoy support for a wider range of virtual instruments that you can add to your production
with VSTi virtual instruments. Simply add a MIDI host track to your mix, choose an
instrument, then record new audio in the Sequencer.
Edit note, velocity, and controller values easily in the piano roll editor. Control and read
from attached devices including external synthesizers, keyboards, lighting controls, or
other MIDI-based device.
Enhanced spectral editing
Frequency space editing has become more exible with the new Eects Paintbrush and Spot
Healing Brush. Make a free-form selection in frequency space with the Eects Paintbrush
and apply eects in varying degrees to that selection. Smooth over a selected region to
automatically repair clicks, pops, and other noises using the Spot Healing Brush.
New selection tools take
editing your audio in

In the Spectral Pan display, adjust the colors to visually clarify the characteristics
of your sound. Use the Marquee Selection tool to select a specic area for
playback or editing. You can even play back everything but that selection.
