3.3 Installing Memory Modules
The NuPRO-E330 supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 1066/1333 MHz
memory modules in two DIMM sockets. A DDR3 module has a
240-pin footprint compared to the legacy 184-pin DDR DIMM.
DDR3 modules are notched to facilitate correct installation in the
DIMM sockets.
Memory Configuration Options
The NuPRO-E330 supports 1GB, 2GB and 4GB unbuffered non-
ECC DDR3 DIMMs in the following configurations:
X Channel A: DIMM1
Channel B: DIMM2
X For dual-channel configuration, the total size of memory
module installed per ch anne l mu st be the sam e
(DIMM1 = DIMM2).
X It is recommended that you install DIMMs with the same
CAS latency. For maximum compatibility, install memory
modules with the same brand, model, and/or rating.
To install a memory module:
1. Locate the DIMM sockets on the motherboard.
2. Press the socket’s retain ing clips outward to unlock.
WARNING:
Disconnect all power to the board before installing a memory
module to prevent damaging the board and memory module .
