3 Getting Started
This chapter demonstrates how to install the hard drive and Com-
pactFlash card into system. Additional COM ports jumper settings
and MXE-1000 series wall-mount installation are also discussed.
3.1 Installing a hard disk drive
Before installing a hard disk drive, user should remove the front
panel, rear panel, and bottom chassis first. Please follow the
instructions below.
1. Use a #3 hex wrench to unscrew all the six screws (M3
hex bolts) on the front panel and remove the panel.
