2.4.4 Clear CMOS Jumper
When encountering the abnormal condition that causes the MXE-
1005/1010/1020 controller failed to boot, you can try to clear the
BIOS content stored in CMOS and restore to the default setting.
To clear CMOS, please shorten pin#2 and pin#3 of JP1 and then
restore to normal mode (shorten pin#1 and pin#2).
2.4.5 Mini-PCIe Connector
The MXE-1005/1010/1020 controller features a mini-PCIe connec-
tor inside the chassis to provide function expansion by installing a
3rd-party mini-PCIe module. You can expand the functionality of
the MXE-1000 series by installing a 3rd-party mini-PCIe module,
such as WiFi module, 3.5G module and etc.
2.4.6 USIM Socket
When using a 3.5G mini-PCIe module, you usually need a SIM
card to enable the 3.5G communication with your telecom opera-
tor. The MXE-1005/1010/1020 controller provides a USIM socket
which is connected to mini-PCIe connector. You can insert the
SIM card with 3.5G mini-PCIe module installed to fulfill the 3.5G
communication.
