174 Function Library
6.2 C/C++ Programming Library
This section discusses the functions in detail. The function proto-
types and some common data types are declared in PCI-8164.H
or MPC-8164.H. It is recommended that you use these data types
in your application programs. The following table shows the data
type names and their range.
The functions of the cards’s software drivers use full names to rep-
resent the functions’ real meaning. The naming convention rules
are:
In a ‘C’ programming environment:
_{hardware_model}_{action_name}. e.g. _8164_Initial().
In order to recognize the difference between a C library and a VB
library, a capital “B” is placed at the beginning of each function
name e.g. B_8164_Initial().
