4.2.3 INTEL 82559 Driver Installation on Windows 2000
Windows 2000 will attempt to install a standard LAN driver automatically. To
guarantee compatibility, manually install the most updated LAN driver, which
is stored in the ADLINK CD. After installing Windows 2000, update to the
most updated driver using the following procedures
1. Boot Windows 2000, Click Start. Select Settings then double-click on
the Control Panel.
2. Double-click System icon, click Hardware tab, then click Device
Manager button.
3. Double-click Network Adapters entry, Double-click the Intel PRO 100+
Management Adapter entry.
4. Click Driver tab, then click Update Driver… button.
5. An Upgrade Device Driver Wizard window will appear, click Next>.
6. Select Display a list of ... and click Next>. The next window may show a
list of hardware models.
7. Insert the CD and click Have Disk.
8. Browse the LAN driver in the following path:
X:\CHIPDRV\LAN\100PDISK, highlight oemsetup.inf, click Open, then
click OK.
9. Highlight the model: Intel PRO 100+ Management Adapter, then click
NEXT>. An Update Driver Warning window may pop up, click Yes to
continue.
10. Click NEXT> button, a Wizard summary window will appear.
11. Click Finish, then the CLOSE button.
