3.3 Hardware Installation
3.3.1 Selecting 10 Mhz Reference Clock Source
The 10 MHz reference clock is an important mechanism in PXI
specification for inter-module synchronization. PXI modules which
have phase-locker loop circuit can lock the 10 MHz reference
clock to generate an in-phase timebase.
The PXIS-2719 PXI chassis allows users to select the source of
10 MHz reference clock as
X Built-in accurate 10 MHz oscillator
X External 10 MHz clock through a BNC connector
X PXI_CLK10_IN pin on the star trigger slot
You can set the source of 10 MHz reference clock by a DIP switch
on the front side of backplane. Please refer to Table 3-1 for the
setting.
