GETTING STARTED Notes: 1. Store the safe in a dry place indoors and out of the weather (water may damage the electronics). 2. Never store liquids, hazardous materials, flammables, chemicals or small animals in the safe. 3. The safe is not fire proof or water proof. 4. Be sure fingers are clean when registering a new print and when using the safe. 5. Occasionally check the status screen to verify batteries are not in need of replacement. PARTS Check your package.

Batteries Open the safe door and remove the battery compartment cover by pushing the small lever in the direction of the door hinge with a finger. Slide four (4) AA alkaline batteries into the compartment with the positive and negative terminals in the position shown on the inner compartment relief. Replace the battery compartment cover by inserting the end closest to the door hinge first and then pushing the lever back into the door.
USING THE SAFE Unlocking the Door Input the pass code using the keypad. As each digit is entered, the yellow indicator light will flash once and the door will emit a single beep confirming the correct digit entry. Once all the pass codes have been entered press the E button and the green indicator light will flash. You now have five seconds to turn the knob clockwise and open the door. Note: If a wrong digit is entered into the keypad the yellow indicator will begin to flash several times.
Locking the Door 1. Ensure the door is completely closed. 2. Rotate the door knob counter clockwise. 3 The safe is now locked. Unlocking the Door Manually 1. Remove the Logo Cover Plate on the Control Panel by pulling it outwards. 2. Insert the Override Key into the Keyhole and turn counter clockwise. 3. Turn the Door Knob clockwise. 4. The safe is now unlocked and the door can be opened. Note: Be sure to store pass code and keys in a safe place never store them inside the safe.

INSTALLING SAFE ON A WALL The back of the safe has two holes spaced 7-% inches (19 c¢m) apart allowing it to be hung on a wall. If hanging on interior drywall, be sure the thickness and stability of the gypsum board can hold the weight of the safe and its contents. Failure to do so could result in the safe falling and injuring bystanders or causing damaging property. For safety, have someone help you hold the safe when mounting it to a wall.
INSTALLING SAFE ON A FLAT SURFACE The bottom of the safe has two holes spaced 7-% inches (19 c¢m) apart allowing it to be installed on a flat surface. The safe comes with two wood screws for wood surfaces. If you are securing safe to a tile or cement floor, consult with your local hardware store and purchase the appropriate anchors for your floor type. The instructions below pertain to installing the safe on a wood surface. Select a floor having no concealed electrical wires, VAC ducts or plumbing lines.
