Product Overview
Hydronic Heating System PROTECTOR
High performance MC1+
TM
from ADEY
®
, prevents both black iron oxide sludge and limescale deposits.
MC1+ delivers advanced levels of system protection, with a higher concentrated formula, compared with
standard products, as one bottle treats systems with up to 15 radiators.
The latest MC1+ formulation is the product of extensive industry experience and testing, developed in ADEY’s
own accredited laboratory.
Prevents the generation of iron oxide sludge
Protects all metals and alloys in hydronic heating systems
Concentrated formula, treats 33 gallons – use less to treat more
Reduces component failure
Helps reduce heating and maintenance costs
Maintains room temperature comfort levels
Suitable for ALL hydronic heating systems
Physical and chemical properties
Product uses
For the long-term protection of hydronic heating systems, MC1+ minimizes oxidation which causes the formation
of sludge, and prevents limescale buildup.
The advanced formula protects against the corrosion of all metals and alloys commonly found in hydronic heating
systems including mild steel, copper and aluminum and their alloys, and is compatible with all rubbers and other
non-metallic components.
How to use
One bottle of MC1+ treats up to 33 gallons.
Introduce MC1+ to the system via the purge and fill point or radiator using a suitable injector, or via a
MagnaClean
®
filter. For open vented systems, MC1+ can be added via the expansion tank, remembering to
remove sufficient water via the drain-point to ensure MC1+ enters the system circuit.
MC1+ levels should be checked regularly during annual service or following any system maintenance requiring
full or partial drain-down.
NOTE: NOT for use in single feed indirect cylinders.
Application
MC1+ is suitable for all sealed and open-vented hydronic heating systems. The level of product within the system
should be checked with the annual boiler service to ensure the optimum dosage for protection is maintained.
MC1+ is not suitable for use in single feed indirect “prismatic” cylinders where potable water treatment is
required.
Packaging, handling and storage
Available in 1.05 pints. MC1+ is classified as non-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable, but as for all
residential chemicals, keep out of reach of children and avoid contact with eyes and skin.
In case on contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water, seek medical attention if symptoms occur.
