thetwo-manteams.

Principle:
Inaclassicoperatingmode,theVokkerosystemoffers“openmike”communicationenabling
anaudioconference.Incertaincases,itmaybenecessarytoswitchoffthemikesofallor
someofthespeakers(particularlywhenusersaretalkingtopeoplewhoarenotpartofthe
network,orwhensilenceisrequired).
ThePush-to-talk(orPTT)functionallowsyoutoachievecommunicationinstantaneously,or
toswitchoffthemikeusingadedicatedkey.
Procedure:
• AccesstheOptionsmenu,andthenPTT.Press“OK”tovalidateyourchoice.
• Use“+”or“-”andselectOntoactivatethefunction.Press“OK”tovalidateyourchoice.
• Press“Menu”toreturntothehomescreen.
OncethePTTmodehasbeenactivated,theMic.iconwillappearonthemainscreen,which
meansthatthemodehasbeenactivated.Themicrophoneisclosed.
Meaningoftheicons:
Using the “PTT- Mute Mic” mode
ThePTT isusedviathe“Vokkero”keyonthekeypad(wheretheVokkerolabelislocated).
• Brieypressingit(forlessthanonesecond)enablesthemic.tobeactivatedordeacti-
vatedpermanently.
• Whenthemic.isclosed,continuingtopresstheVokkerokeymakesitpossibletoopen
themic.andcommunicate.WhentheVokkerokeyisreleased,themic.isswitchedoff
onceagain.
• TostopthePTT mode,returntothededicatedsub-menuandselectOff(cf.the“pro-
cedure”sectionabove).
