Insert the wires into the connector through the removable bushing.

Connect each wire to the correct terminal screw, and tighten the screw firmly.
8.
Tighten the screws on the cable clamp.
9.
Reinstall the cover and tighten the screw to seal the connector.
10.
Prepare the opposite end of the cable for connection to the facility AC power source.

Installing AC Power Cable to Robot
1.
Connect the unterminated end of the AC power cable to your facility AC power source.
See AC Power Diagrams on page 28. Do not turn on AC power at this time.
2.
Plug the AC connector into the AC power connector on the interface panel on the robot.
3.
Secure the AC connector with the locking latch.
3.5 Grounding the Adept Robot System
Proper grounding is essential for safe and reliable robot operation. Follow these
recommendations to properly ground your robot system.
Grounding the Robot Base
The user can install a ground wire at the robot base to ground the robot. See Figure 3-6. The
robot ships with an M8 x 12 stainless steel, hex-head screw, and M8 split and flat washers
installed in the grounding hole. The user is responsible for supplying the ground wire to
connect to earth ground.
