5.20.4 Configuring the keyboard

The connection is of the RS485 type (one-way) and the maximum distance between keyboard and multiplexer
is therefore 1200 metres.
(*) It is possible to connect more than one keyboard to each multiplexer, the keyboard identification number is
irrelevant. More than one multiplexer can be controlled by the same keyboard, as long as they are addressable
and identified by different unit numbers.
(**) The presence of more than one keyboard connected to the switcher/matrix means it is necessary to define
different identification numbers for each keyboard.
5.20.5 Configuring the multiplexer
The non-addressable model of the multiplexer can only be configured using the local multiplexer keyboard
while the addressable model can also be configured from the DCT keyboard.

5.20.6 Operational test
For the non-addressable multiplexer select multiplexer 1 and switch the various cameras.
Selecting a different multiplexer (2..99) has no effect for the non-addressable model.
Select multiplexer 1-64 corresponding to the addressable multiplexer and switch the various cameras.
5.20.7 Dedicated functions
As well as the normal input video selection procedure, the SP16C multiplexer is provided with numerous
other functions that are shown in the MAIN menu with the same graphics format as the keys on the local
keypad.
