5.20 SP16C Multiplexer VIDEOTEC
5.20.1 Description
The SP16C multiplexer is able to connect 16 input videos that are digitised and displayed in a composite
output image. A spot service monitor will provide the display of an individual input.
Communication from keyboard to multiplexer is one-way.
It is also possible to control the multiplexer indirectly, using one of the latest generation video matrixes
ENEO EKR-8/4 EKR-16/4 and VIDEOTEC SM-A series (SM42A, SM82A, SM84A, SM164A).
5.20.2 Direct connection

The connection is of the RS485 type (one-way) and the maximum distance between keyboard and multiplexer
is 1200 metres.
5.20.3 Configuring the multiplexer
The multiplexer can be configured using the local multiplexer keyboard or the DCT keyboard only if the
model is provided with addressability.

To be able to configure the multiplexer from the DCT keyboard matrix/mux setup should be enabled (see §
4.2.4.5 - Functions, pag.34).
