Operating instructions

5.15.4 Configuring the multiplexer
The Javelin multiplexer is available in two versions with different control protocols.
Only the colour model can be configured via the keyboard.
See the corresponding manual.
To be able to configure the colour multiplexer from the DCT keyboard the matrix/mux setup menu must be
enabled (see ยง 4.2.4.5 - Functions, pag.34).
5.15.5 Configuring the keyboard
During keyboard configuration, the submenu should have the following settings:
DIRECT
connection
INDIRECT connection
Type MULTIPLEXER 4/2 ... 128/16
Protocol JAVELIN B/W / JAVELIN COL MACRO
Baudrate 1200-9600 1200-38400
Address (*) (**)
Multiplexer ------------------- JAVELIN B/W / JAVELIN COL
(*) It is possible to connect more than one keyboard to each Javelin multiplexer, the keyboard identification
number is irrelevant. More than one multiplexer can be controlled by the same keyboard, as long as they are
identified by different unit numbers.
(**) If more than one keyboard is connected to the switcher this means different identification numbers should
be defined for each keyboard.
5.15.6 Operational test for direct connection
Select multiplexer 1 and switch the various cameras. If there is more than one multiplexer select the number
corresponding to the address setting (1..99) and switch the various cameras.
Note: The DCT keyboard emulates the controls of the local multiplexer keyboard. Switching times are slowed
down by the type of protocol installed by the multiplexer manufacturer.
5.15.7 Operational test for indirect connection
In the MAIN menu, display the multiplexer controls and switch the various cameras. If there is more than one
multiplexer select the number corresponding to the address setting (1..99) and switch the various cameras.
