5.12 ADEMCO Multiplexer
5.12.1 Description
The AXMD16E / AXCD16EX multiplexer allows linking 16 video inputs that are digitized and shown in a
compound output image.
ATTENTION
Set the following parameters in the multiplexer communications menu: Master/Slave: Slave,
Type: RS485, Protocol: A
5.12.2 Direct link
DCT RJjack1 RJjack2 JAVELIN
RS485A White Black RS485A
RS485B Yellow green RS485B
The link is a one-way RS485 type, and the maximum distance between the keyboard and the multiplexer is
1,200 meters.
5.12.3 Configuration of the multiplexer
Configuration can be done through the keys on the multiplexer or using the DCT keyboard, if the multiplexer
has been previously configured for RS485 communications.

To set the multiplexer from the DCT keyboard, it must be enabled for the matrix/mux setup (see § 4.2.4.5 -
Functions, pag. 34).
