5.10 Video Matrix SW164OSM VIDEOTEC
5.10.1 Description
The SW164OSM matrix is a product for professional applications in the security and surveillance sector, and
is intended for the management of video signals. It is able to control 16 input videos.
There are four output videos and one of these can be operated directly by a VCR.
It can be used for controlling the usual switching and alarm management functions. See the matrix manual for
further relevant information.
5.10.2 Connection
The connection between matrix and keyboard is made by means of an RS232 channel, which should be
converted into RS485 using a special interface to be installed between the output video connector on the
keyboard and one of the matrix outlets.

5.10.3 Configuring the matrix
Both jumpers JP1 and JP2 inside the matrix should be configured for RS232 type communication, as shown
in the printed circuit diagram.
The baud rate can be selected using DIP switch SW1:
