4.2.6.4 Verifying correct joystick calibration
T o verify the correct calibration of the joystick, see the last line on the page where there are three sets of script
followed by a number that changes according to the position taken by the joystick.
The table shows the values for the positions taken by the joystick
Position of joystick X Y Z
Joystick released 7 7 7
Joystick to far right 14 7 7
Joystick to far left 0 7 7
Joystick completely up 7 14 7
Joystick completely down 7 0 7
Joystick zoom to far left 7 7 14
Joystick zoom to far right 7 7 0
At intermediate positions, the values will take on intermediate values between the departure and arrival
positions.
4.2.6.5 Calibrating the touch screen
WARNING
Only carry out this procedure if the display has been replaced or if there are obvious faults in its
behaviour when the keys are pressed..
To verify correct touch screen operation use theTouch Test procedure (see § 4.2.6.6 - Touch
test, pag.42).
Calibrating the touch screen makes it possible to compensate for possible shifts in the sensitive surface due to
ageing or if it has to be replaced.
The system can be recalibrated by inserting the coordinates of the two corners of the display.
WARNING
During this procedure the system enters a particular mode in which the touch screen is slowed
down when reading, and recognition of the three central manoeuvre keys may prove to be more
difficult.
