Operating instructions

4.2.3.1.2 Address
This parameter is used to select the address number used to recognise the device within the installation.
See the specific sections of the manual for the correct settings of these parameters (see § 5 - VIDEO
MANAGEMENT, pag.52).
Using the same address for more than one device connected to the system will cause faulty
operation of the controls that are sent/received by the video matrix.
4.2.3.1.3 External multiplexer
This parameter is used to select a multiplexer to be connected to the matrix in cascade. It is only possible to
do this when the item “ Type contains a matrix and the item “ Protocol” is set to “ MACRO”.
4.2.3.2 Telemetry
This menu is used to set the type of TELEMETRY” devices that will be controlled by the keyboard. There
are two independent communication lines called “ A and “ B.
4.2.3.2.1 Connector
This parameter is used for setting the telemetry controls, whether the commands are to be sent directly to the
devices connected to the telemetry A or B connectors (Parameter=T elemetry) or whether they are to be sent to
the matrix and then on to the devices (Parameter=Video) (see § 6.1 - Direct control and control using video
systems, pag.95).
PLEASE NOTE
For COMMUNICATIONS-VIDEO, if the PROTOCOL parameter setting is not MACRO, it is
impossible to set the CONNECTOR parameter to “Video”.
If the CONNECTOR parameter has the “Video” setting it is impossible to make a setting
for the baudrate parameter.
Every time thePROTOCOL parameter is changed, the subsequent parameters are forced
to their default values.
