1 OPENING AND CHECKING THE PACKAGE
The following procedures should be carried out with the power supply disconnected, unless
specified otherwise.
Installation should be carried out only and exclusively by skilled, authorised technicians.
Technical note or hint on use.
1.1 Contents of the package
When the product is delivered make sure the package is intact and has no obvious signs of dropping, scrapes
or scratches. If the package is obviously damaged contact the supplier immediately.
1 DCT keyboard
1 external power supply
6 telephone cables, 6/6 point-to-point, length approx. 150 cm
6 RJjack shunt boxes
1 RS232 connection cable for personal computer
1 floppy disk or CD-ROM for auxiliary Personal Computer during keyboard setup
this user's manual.
Make sure the contents correspond to the list of materials as above.
1.2 Opening the package
If the package is not obviously damaged (due to dropping or scrapes and scratches), check the material
contained in it against the list provided in the relevant section, see § 1.1 - Contents of the package, pag. 9.
Dispose of the packing material according to the recycling regulations in force in the country where the
appliance is used.
1.3 Checking the markings
Before proceeding with installation, make sure the supplied material corresponds with the required
specifications by examining the marking labels, as described in see § 1.4 - Description of the labels , pag.9.
Never, under any circumstances, make any changes or connections that are not included in this
manual: the use of inappropriate appliances may expose personnel and the system to serious
safety hazards.
1.4 Description of the labels
On the bottom of the DCT keyboard there is a label conforming to CE markings, showing the data regarding
the model identification code and the serial number (EXT3/9 bar code),
The power supply provided with the keyboard shows the information regarding the electrical specifications of
the keyboard power supply.
