Q & A ON QUIKSTOR WINCHESTER SYSTEMS
We have been receiving a considerable number of questions on our QUIKSTOR 15 and 33 megabyte
drive systems and slaves for the H8 and H89 computers, and have prepared this information
for your convenience.
What is the capacity of Quikstor, QS-15?
The 5" Winchester drive is actually a 19 megabyte drive which formats down to a bit over 15
megabytes.
What is the capacity of Quikstor, QS-33?
The 5" Winchester drive is actually a 40 megabyte drive which formats down to over 33
megabytes.
What is the physical size of the unit?
The outside dimensions of the Quikstor cabinet is 5 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide, and 15 1/2" long.
Wiil the unit work on an H8 and an H89?
The Quikstor unit was designed to work both on the H/Z H89 and Heath H8 computers. The H8
must have a Z80 CPU. An 8080 will not work since maskable interrupts are not available.
See the following site to order the new and improve Z80 card for the H8 compu ter;

Are multiple Winchesters supported?
Our new release of software, effective 4/85 has many new features over the previous release.
One of these features is the support for multiple Winchester drives chained from the Xebec
controller in the master unit, or daisy chained from the computer host adapter board. Both slave
units and master subsystems are readily available from Quikdata. Refer to price sheet for
additional information.
