4. From the command prompt, type su.
5. Type the root user password. The system default is bas.
You are now logged into the Linux operating system as the root user.
Configuring Network Access
To configure network access on the Cuda 12000, follow this procedure:
1. Log on as the Linux operating system root user as described above.
2. Run
config_cuda.sh
3. Enter the following parameters:
Note: Pressing the enter key, without typing in a parameter, will enter the
default value displayed within the brackets.
Prompt Parameter
Do you wish to configure a
redundant Chassis Controller? [Y]
Type n. For more information on
configuring redundant chassis
controller, refer to the
Cuda 12000
IP Access Switch CudaView
Administration Guide or the Cuda
12000 IP Access Switch CLI-based
Administration Guide.
Hostname of this Chassis
Controller:
Type in a name for this host chassis
controller.
IP address for eth0
[192.168.212.110]:
Enter the IP address.
Netmask [255.255.255.0]: Enter the subnet mask.
Gateway address [192.168.212.1]: Enter the gateway address.
Would you like to configure eth1
with the default value? [Y]:
To accept the default configuration
for eth1 shown, press enter, else
type n and press enter.
Network address [192.0.2.0]: If you did not accept the default
configuration for eth1, this prompt
will display. Type in a network
address.
Note: 192.0.2.0/24 is the TEST-NET,
which is the subnet used on the
management network.
Reboot now? [Y] Reboot the Management module.
