Figure 6-2 provides a listing of messages that may indicate error conditions
during the module boot phase.
DOCSIS/
EuroDOCSIS Modules
DS<frequency> Indicates that the module has
initialized its downstream port. Displays
the current downstream frequency.
Where DS stands for “downstream”
and <frequency> is a variable that
indicates the current frequency of the
downstream channel.
For example, a downstream frequency
of 507.00 results in this DOCSIS
module operational status display:
DS507.00.
Management Module Starting Indicates that the module software is
initializing memory.
Management Module SC Start Indicates that controller components
are starting up.
Management Module Ready Indicates that the Management
module components have started and
the module is operational without
error.

All Modules HW Fail! A module hardware component has failed a
diagnostic check. Contact ADC Customer Support
for assistance.

Modules
cmts up Indicates a crash. Sometimes resetting the
DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS module will solve the
problem, but additional troubleshooting may be
necessary.
Management
Module
SC Fail Indicates that at least one Management module
component could not start. Reboot the module. If
the problem persists, contact ADC Customer
Support.
