Fan Module Maintenance
9 RemovetheoldFanModulefromthePRU:
a TheFanModulehastwokeyholerivetsthatextendthroughtheirdesignatedslotsintothesheetmetal
frame.TodisengagetheFanModulekeyholerivets,slidetheFanModuleforwardapproximately
1/4-inch.
b LifttheFanModulestraightuptoremoveitfromthePRUchassis.
10 LowertheFanModuleintothePRUfromthetop.EnsurethatthetwokeyholerivetsonthenewFanModule
extendthroughtheirdesignatedslotsinthesheetmetalframe,andthenslideFanModuleback
approximately1/4-inchtoengageitskeyholerivets.
11 AlignandtheninserttheFanModule’stwocaptivescrewswithnutsonthePRU;ensurecorrectthread
engagement,andthentightentheFanModule’scaptivescrews.
12 InserttheFanModulepowercablesothatthecableisdirectedtotheleftoftheconnector.Usethekeytoalign
thecablecorrectly.Donotuseexcessiveforcetomatethereceptacletotheplug.
CAUTION! Failure to align the Fan Module power cable correctly may cause damage to the PRU power connectors,
which could result in needing to replace the PRU chassis.
13 Useyourfingerstoturnthecouplingnutonthepowercableapproximately2-1/2revolutions,andthen
tightenthecouplingnutanother1/4revolution.
14 TightenthetwocaptivescrewsthatsecuretheFanModuletothechassis;torquethescrewsto10IN-LBS±1
IN-LB.
15 ClosetheFanModulecoverandtightenitstwocaptivescrews;torquethescrewsto10IN-LBS±1IN-LB.
