YouinstalltheNotchFilterbetweenthePrismRemoteUnitandtheantennatoprovideprotectionfromspurious
emissionsinthePublicSafetybandbelow861.35MHzandtheCellularbandabove869.5MHz.
YouusethesamemountingmethodstomounttheNotchFilterasyouusedtomountthePRU.Takethefollowing
intoconsiderationwhenplanningtheinstallation:
• TheNotchFilteranditsmountingbracketsrequires19inchesofverticalspaceabovethePRU(seeFigure35
onpage115andFigure36onpage116).
• TheNotchFilterweighs18pounds;makesuretheinstallationsitecanbearthisadditionalweight.
• MounttheNotchFilterverticallywiththeN-typefemaleconnectorsatthebottom.
• TherearetwoGroundlugsontheNotchFilter,whichareonthebackofthetwomountingbrackets.Follow
localpracticetogroundtheNotchFilter.
• Thenotchfiltermustbeconnectedtothe800bandmoduleoutputbeforecombiningwithotherbandsor
connectingtoanantenna.
