CAUTION! Electro‐StaticDischarge(ESD)candamageelectroniccomponents.TopreventESDdamage,alwayswearanESDwrist
strapwhenworkingwiththePRUorwhenhandlinganyofitscomponents—includingtheRFModules.Connectthe
groundwireontheESDwriststraptoanearthgroundsourcebeforetouchingthePRU
oranyofitscomponents.Wear
thewriststraptheentiretimethatyouworkwiththePRUanditscomponents.
CAUTION! PlacePrismRFModulesinanti‐staticpackingmaterialwhentransportingorstoringthem.
UnpackandInspecttheRFModule
1 Inspecttheexterioroftheshippingcontainer(s)forevidenceofroughhandlingthatmayhavedamagedthe
componentsinthecontainer.
2 Unpackeachcontainerwhilecarefullycheckingthecontentsfordamageandverifywiththepackingslip.
3 Ifdamageisfoundorpartsaremissing,fileaclaimwiththecommercialcarrierandnotifyTECustomer

“ContactingTEConnectivity”onpage47).Savethedamagedcartonsforinspectionbythecarrier.
4 Saveallshippingcontainersforuseiftheequipmentrequiresshipmentatafuturedate.
CAUTION! HandletheRFModulewithcareduringinstallation.Beespeciallycarefultonotdamagethethermal‐interfacematerial
(TIM),whichisattachedtotheLPA.IftheTIMis damaged,theLPAcanoverheat.BeforeinstallingtheRFModule,check
toseeiftheheatsinkmaterialisgougedorcracked.If
theTIMisdamaged,donotinstalltheRFModuleandcontact
TEConnectivityforassistance(see
“ContactingTEConnectivity”onpage47forcontactinformation).
CAUTION! Ifthethermal‐interfacematerialisdamaged,theinstallationanduseoftheRFModulemayvoidthewarrantyofthe
RFModule.
RemoveReleaseLinersfromtheRFModule
NOTE: ReleaseLinersarepresentonfrontandbackofnewmodules.

2 Removereleaseliners,ifpresent,fromthethermalpadsontheRFModulepriortoinstallingthemoduleinto
thePRUchassis.
CAUTION! Thethermalpadsareverysensitivetomishandling—donotnick,scratch,ordingthem.
