Install the Prism Remote Unit

asshowninFigure18.

DothefollowingtoconnectaUPStotheAUXConnectoronthebottomofthePRU:
1 Obtaintherequiredlengthof6-or10-meterpicofastcable.
2 Orientthecouplingfasteneronthecable(Figure18)withtheAUXConnectorpins(Figure17),and
thenfastenthecabletotheAUXConnector.
3 RoutethecablefromthePRUAUXConnectortotheUPS(ifnotalreadyrouted)andthencuttothe
requiredlength.Allowsufficientslackfordressingandorganizingthecableattheexternaldevice.
4 Stripbacktheoutercablesheathandinsulationtoexposethewiresattheendofthecableandstrip
back0.2inches(5mm)ofinsulationfromeachwire.
5 Connectthealarmwirepairstotheappropriateterminalsontheexternaldevice.
6 Dressandsecurecableperstandardindustrypractice.
NOTE: If necessary, order a Prism AUX 4-wire cable assembly, CommScope part number 1451903.
