BACKING UP A SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
The Backup page allows you to backup the system configuration. A backup file size
is typically less than 1 MB, and a new backup overwrites the pre-existing backup.
You use the backup file to restore the configuration as described in
“Restoring a
Backed Up System Configuration” on page 128.
Do the following to backup a system configuration:
1 In the System Menu bar, click System
Configuration > Backup.
2 Click Backup. If the back up procedure fails,
the following error message displays:
Failed to create Back Up. At the end of a
successful backup, a link to the
downloaded file appears.
3 To download the back-up file, click the link
that appears, the name for which is in the format of HOSTNAME_<DATETIME>.tgz.
Only one file will be available.
