equipmentisrequired.
CleaningtheFiberPorts
YoucancleantheHub’sfiberportsusingcannedcompressedairorisopropylalcoholandcotton
swabs.
Considerations
• Ifyouusecompressedair:

eairmustbefreeofdust,water,andoil.
– Holdthe
canlevelduringuse.
• Ifusingisopropylalcoho
landfoam‐tippedswab:
– Useonly98%pu
reormorealcohol.
UsingCompressedAir
1 Removetheconnector’sdustcap.
2 Sp
raythecompressedairawayfromtheunitforafewsecondstocleanoutthenozzleand
thenblowdustparticlesoutofeachfiberport.
UsingIsopropylAlcohol
1 Removetheconnector’sdustcap.
2 Dip
a2.5mmlint‐free,foam‐tippedswabinisopropylalcoholandslowlyinsertthetipintothe
connector.
3 Gentlytwisttheswab
tocleantheconnector.
4 Inserta
dryswabtodrytheconnector.

ed.
