CONFIGURINGTHEFUSIONWIDEBANDSYSTEM
Beforethesystemcanoperateproperly,useAdminBrowsertoprogramtheFusionWideband
MainHubwiththefrequencybandsthataretobedistributed.TheHubmustbeprogrammedwith
thesamefrequenciesastheRAUused.
TheAdminBrowsersoftware,describedintheAdm
inBrowserUserManual(PND‐620607‐0‐20),
mustberunningonaPC/laptop.
NOTE: The frequency bands should automatically be set on power up and this step should not be
required.
NOTE: CrossoverEthern
etcablewithmale connectorsrequired.
NOTE: Thefollow
ingprocedures assume thatthesystemis new fromthe factory andthat it has not
beenprogrammedwithbands.Ifyouarereplacing componentsinapre‐installedsystemwith
either new units or units that may already be programmed (for example, re‐using units from
anothersystem),referto“ReplacingFu
sionWidebandComponents”onpage175.
1 ConnecttheACpowercordtotheHub.
CAUTION! MakesuretheHubisgroundedthroughthegroundlugontheACpowerandtheframeground
lug as req uired. The warran ty does not cover damage caused when an ungrounded Hub is
poweredon.
2 PlugthepowercordintoanACpoweroutlet.
3 Verifyth
atallcablesareproperlyconnectedontheHub.
4 TurnonthepowertotheHub.
AllLEDsblinkthroughthepowerupsequence.Ateachportwhere
anRAUisdetected
(drawingcurrent),theportLEDslightsgreen.TheFusionWideband
STATUSLEDisorange
duringsystembootandshouldturngreenafterabout90secondsifitfindsnofaults.This
stateindicatestheband’sarenotprogrammedandprovidesfeedbackonthestatusofthe
RAUconnections.
TheLEDsblinkfor20secondsasa
visualcheckthattheyarefunctioning.
5 Connectthecross‐o
verEthernetcabletothePC/laptopandthentotheRJ-45 100-BASE-T port
ontheHub’sfrontpanel.
